MADISON — A new auto parts store will be opening next year here off U.S. 51 north of Hoy Road and Madison Parkway.

Aldermen approved architectural plans for a new O’Reilly Auto Parts store that will be located adjacent to State Farm, just north of the Kroger.

“This will be, hands-down, the finest O’Reilly Auto Parts building that has ever been built to date,” developer Paterson Ogburn told the board Tuesday night. “I should know, because I’ve already built the other finest already built in Cape Coral, Fla.”

Ogburn said they were able to add some different elements to the store not usually associated with other O’Reilly buildings.

“We’ve been working on it for awhile,” he said.

The store will be 7,225 square feet, which is the larger prototype for the brand, Ogburn said.

“They do have smaller buildings, but that’s kind of based on population and demographics,” he said.
