MADISON - A new 35,000 square-foot shopping center is scheduled to open by July 2015 on Highland Colony Parkway that will house a dozen retail stores.
The three-building development is called Madison Highlands and the developers, Raven Rock, LLC, received approval for their site plan by the Madison Mayor and Board of Aldermen on Tuesday.
The shopping center will be located on the west end side of Highland Colony Parkway, south of Broadmoor Baptist Church. It will be located a half-mile south of Highway 463.
According to the developers, groundbreaking will take place next month.
"Madison Highlands will have a dozen or so amazing shops and boutiques creating an intimate atmosphere to shop, dine, and enjoy," John Ravenstein, one of the developers, stated in a release. "This will be a lifestyle center where European influence meets Southern style."
He added, "Detailed architecture and lush landscaping will surround the signature clock tower entrance at Madison Highlands."
Ravenstein, who is co-developing the property with his brother, said there have been no leases signed for the center yet so they aren't announcing any shops at this time.
