NEW YORK CITY — Madison native Katie Ladner will make her Broadway debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s revival of the Tony Award-winning “Sunset Boulevard,” starring Glenn Close.

The production begins a limited engagement Feb. 2 prior to an official opening on Feb. 9 at the Palace Theatre in New York City. Ladner is a member of the ensemble.

Direct from a sold-out engagement last year at the English National Opera, this production of the musical- which is based on Billy Wilder’s classic film of the same name- will feature a 40- piece orchestra and is directed by Lonny Price.

“I could not be more excited to make my Broadway debut in such a classic production,” Ladner said. “I’m so grateful for all the teachers and coaches who helped me lay the foundation needed to reach this milestone.”

Ladner is the daughter of Tommy and Lori Ladner of Madison. She is a 2009 graduate of Madison Central High School and a 2013 graduate of Belmont University with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

She has been blessed to be in numerous professional productions, including the Off- Broadway productions of Heathers the Musical and Gigantic as well as the regional premiere production of Disney’s Freaky Friday.

In 2013, she guest-starred in Nickelodeon’s See Dad Run. Her unique voice can be heard on three original cast albums.
