Anne Louise Lane Roberts, 91, passed away on April 2, 2014, in Bay St. Louis from Alzheimer's disease, from which she suffered for 18 years.

Mrs. Roberts was born in Flora, and was the eldest child of Almus Hervey Lane and his wife, Annye Leigh Harris Lane.

A long-time resident of Jackson, she retired as a Business Service Advisor in 1984 after 40 years of service to South Central Bell/BellSouth. Mrs. Roberts was a communicant of St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral where she taught pre-kindergarten Sunday school for many years.

Her husband, Nolle Thornton Roberts, and her brother, Edgar Forest Riley, preceded Mrs. Roberts in death. She is survived by daughters, Angela Thornton Roberts Sallis (David) and Nanette Louise Roberts of Bay St Louis and her son, David Lane Dinkins (Cathy) of Madison, MS. She is also survived by sister, Sylvia Lane Riley (John); brother, Benjamin Hervey Lane (Carolyn); sister-in-law, Inez Simmons Lane; granddaughters, Shannon Dinkins Garfield (Michael) and Rebecca Anne Dinkins; and great-grandchildren, William Lane Garfield and Kelsey Anne Garfield. In addition, she is survived by a stepdaughter, Rogene Roberts Stock (Ted), and a loving, extended family on the West Coast.
