A funeral service will be held on Saturday for a Madison Police officer who died last Friday of natural causes in Jackson. 

Patrolman First Class Jim Mack Jr. had 11 years of service with the Madison Police Department and was a 19-year veteran of law enforcement.

Madison Police officers described him as “a valued member of this department” who will be greatly missed.

Visitation services will be from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at Rolling Fork High School in Rolling Fork, with a funeral service to take place afterwards. 

On Monday, Jan. 13., a memorial service will be held from 10-11 a.m. at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison. A graveside service will be held at approximately 11 a.m. at Natchez Trace Cemetery in Madison.
