Madison Central (4-1,1-0) shook off the previous week’s loss with a convincing 27-3 victory in Clinton last Friday.

The Jags confidently garnered a touchdown each quarter led by sophomore quarterback Jimmy Holliday. Holliday had 10 carries for 72 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw for 160 yards and a touchdown. He completed six of 11 passes, the longest of which was the touchdown pass to senior Hunter Blalock that went for 44 yards.

Black had three receptions and led the jags with 110 yards.

Senior Cameron White had 13 carries for 75 yards and sophomore Luke Robertson punched in his lone carry for one yard and a touchdown.

Kenneth Ndebele stood out on defense with two sacks and six tackles on the evening. He was followed by fellow senior, Kirkland Trahan, who recorded seven tackles and a sack.

Senior defensive end Domanic Galloway also recorded a sack. Junior Sacobia Luckett recorded seven tackles and caused a fumble. Senior Truett Bourne and junior Peyton Rea, both recorded six tackles.

MC will travel for the second week in a row to district opponent Murrah (1-4) who dropped their first district game 42-34 at Greenville, who nabbed their first win of the season.
