Carol Pickering

Carol Pickering, 82, was called to her eternal home on October 5, 2022. 

A celebration of her life was held on October 13, 2022 at at First Baptist Church of Madison. Carol was a lifetime resident of Mississippi. She was born on December 17, 1939. 

Carol was married to Ray Pickering for 43 years. Carol has two sons, Keviin Manton (Galse) of Brandon and Kyle (Fancy) of Shreveport; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters: Mary Runninglin (Brian) and Shirley Swan of Purvis along with numerous nieces and nephews 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted Dyar and Ola Dyar of Purvis; sisters, Dorothy Noble, Peggy Salter. 

After graduating high school, Carol attended Pearl River Community College. Carol worked for 34 years at Deposit Guaranty National Bank in the Financial Department. Residing in North Jackson, she attended First Baptist Church of Jackson for 35 years and First Baptist Church of Madison for 12 years. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
