Gluckstadt Police arrest 2 on separate drug charges

Gluckstadt Police made two separate drug arrests during traffic stops earlier this month.

Police Chief Barry Hale said Javon Jattaar Clark and Jeffery Evans Hardy were arrested here on Friday, Dec. 13.

Hardy, 63, of Canton, was arrested and charged with no seatbelt, no driver’s license, and possession of crack cocaine.

Hale said Hardy was arrested during a traffic stop at Highway 51 and West Sowell Road at about 9:36 p.m.

Later, Clark, 18, of Madison, was arrested and charged with careless driving, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

Hale said Clark was pulled over and arrested on Old Jackson Road at about 10:39 p.m.
