Mary Helen (Pope) Perry

Mary Helen (Pope) Perry died on October 8, 2024 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Mary Helen was born February 13, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Charles Alfred Pope and Mae Leva (Swob) Pope. 

She attended Little Rock Jr. College presently known as The University of Arkansas Little Rock, and graduated in 1948. 

She is preceded in death by husband Wylie Kapp Perry, Sr. and survived by son, Wylie Kapp Perry, Jr. (Sue) of Jackson, Mississippi; daughter, Deborah Ann Perry of Madison, Mississippi; two nephews, George L. Mallory, III (Ann) and John A. Mallory (Brenda) both of Little Rock, Arkansas; step grandson, Miller A. Fawlk (Lauren) of Brandon, Mississippi. Mary Helen worked 27 ½ years and retired from the State Department of Health in Jackson, Mississippi being a Nosologist. 

Burial was held October 16, 2024 in Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas. Memorial donations may be sent in Mary Helen’s name to a charity of your choosing.
