Mary Jane Lee

Mary Jane (Janie) Lee, 68, of Ridgeland, MS, died November 24, 2020, in St. Catherine’s Village in Madison, MS after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Janie was born on January 7, 1952, to Lenard Perkins and Serlena Perkins in Albany, GA. Janie graduated Starkville High School and attended Mississippi State University.

She married Jim Lee in 1989 and lived in Ridgeland, MS for most of their 31 year marriage. Janie has two sons, Chad Putt and Josh Putt, both of Starkville, MS.

Janie was an executive assistant at Entergy Nuclear in Jackson, MS for many years until Alzheimer’s rendered her unable to continue in 2007.

Janie is survived by her husband; two sons; one grandson, Parker Putt; and sisters, Mae Gemmell, Ann Smith (Burton), Peggy Shows (Scott) and Bobbie Perkins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

There are no funeral services planned. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
