Robie Lee Kight, Jr.

Robie Lee Kight, Jr. of Madison died unexpectedly March 8, 2023, at St. Dominic Hospital. 

Services were held March 13 at First Ridgeland Baptist Church. 

Robie was the oldest son of the late Robie Lee Kight, Sr. and Isla Cresswell Lindsey. He was born November 3, 1955, in Yazoo County. He grew up in Yazoo City and graduated with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University. After working in the engineering field, including serving as Manager of the Water Sewer Utilities Division of the City of Jackson, he established his own engineering firm in 1997 which specializes in foundation inspections. 

He retired January 1, 2023, and looked forward to playing golf, traveling and spending time with his precious new grandson. 

Robie is survived by his wife Tricia Bradley Kight; his son Cullan (Ashton) Kight, and grandson Kit of Madison; brothers Robbie Kight and Dale Kight of Missouri; and stepson Chris (Carol Ann) Ables of Madison. 

He is preceded in death by his brother David Kight.
