Terry woman killed in crash

A Terry woman died over the weekend when the vehicle she was driving went off I-55 just north of Canton, hit an embankment and overturned.

The victim was identified as Madison Walker, 26, according to Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper First Class Darnika Mayfield.

“This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol,” Mayfield said.

On Sunday, Jan. 12, at about 4:06 p.m., MHP responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-55 North near the 121 mile marker in Madison County.

Mayfield said that a 2017 Jaguar driven by Walker was traveling northbound on I-55 when she lost control, hit an embankment, and overturned. 

Walker was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Highway Patrol.
