The Oaks celebrates groundbreaking

The Oaks Residence, a 15-bed luxury assisted living facility celebrated their ground breaking at the end of March. The Gluckstadt Madison Business Alliance, along with neighbors and friends, celebrated the ground breaking with a crawfish boil by Seasons and live music by Scott Strickland at Mills Construction, who also celebrated their Ribbon Cutting.

Developers Chad Phillips and Crystal Phillips have been planning The Oaks Residence since 2022.

The project was initially planned in Livingston where they had much support from neighbors and businesses and also some opposition from the Mannsdale Livingston Heritage Preservation District.

On July 9, Gluckstadt Mayor Walter C. Morrison and the Board of Alderman unanimously approved a conditional use permit.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to bring this unique offering to our community. This approach to assisted living is not yet offered locally, and we are excited for the positive difference this will make in the lives of many seniors in our community.”

The Oaks Residence will start accepting applications in April 2025 for Assisted Living residency starting early 2026.
