The Madison Central, St. Andrew’s, and Jackson Prep boys soccer teams will play for state championships this week.

Madison Central will play Northwest Rankin in the MHSAA 7A state title game on Saturday night at 6 PM at Ridgeland High School.

The Jaguars enter Saturday’s title game with a 15-3-1 overall record and won the regular season region title with a 7-1 record. Madison Central and Northwest Ranking played once in the regular season, with the Jaguars winning 1-0 at home on December 12th.

Junior Tanner Nichols has been the leading goal scorer for Madison Central this season, so look for him to have a major impact in the state championship game.

St. Andrew’s will play St. Stanislaus in the MHSAA Class I state title game on Friday night at Ridgeland High School, with kickoff set for 7 PM.

The Saints enter Friday’s state title game with a 12-6-1 overall record and won the regular season region title.

It has been a dominant postseason so far for St. Andrew’s, as the Saints have outscored state tournament opponents 29-1 in four games.

Jackson Prep will play Hartfield Academy in the MAIS 6A state title game on Thursday night at Jackson Academy, with kickoff set for 7 PM.

The Patriots come into Thursday’s matchup with a 15-7-1 record and finished second in the MAIS 6A regular season standings.

Following a 3-2 sudden-death overtime victory in the semifinals against rival Jackson Academy, the Patriots will face a familiar foe in Hartfield Academy. Prep fell in both regular season matchups between the two teams, both being 2-1 defeats.

Jackson Prep will look to reverse those regular season results and bring home another state title to one of the area’s most successful soccer programs.
