Wallace Owen Cook died March 26, 2024, at St. Dominic’s Hospital after a sudden medical emergency. Owen was born in Holly Bluff, MS, and moved with his family to his hometown of Flora, MS when in the fourth grade. 

He and his wife of 59 years, Beth, were two of the eleven to graduate from Flora High School in 1963. Owen began his MSU journey as a Co-op student through Mississippi Chemical Corporation, Yazoo City, his only employer throughout his 41-year career. He graduated in Chemical Engineering, then moved to Yazoo City.  He taught Young Adult Sunday School for 50 years.  

Owen was proceeded in death by his parents, Wallace Owen Cook, Sr. and Julia Ann Beeson Cook, his sisters, Judy Brasher (Charles) and Sally Rice (Jim), and his brother-in-law, Bebe Crisler (Debbie). He is survived by his wife, Beth Crisler Cook, his son, Chip Cook (Yvette), and his daughter Crissie Parker (Michael) 

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Wallace Owen Cook, IV (Wen), Taylor Parker, John Tucker Cook and Ellis Parker. Survivors also include his brother-in-law Joe Bob Crisler (Suzan), and many beloved nieces and nephews. Services were held April lst , at FBC Madison.
